Getting started with Finance

1. Sign in

Open Finance from the daemn front page and sign in. If you belong to more than one tenant, choose the one whose book you want to see. If your account has no access to Finance yet, the page says so, and Ask for access sends the request to your tenant's Owners.

2. Look at your holdings

Overview opens first. Choose a portfolio to see its sleeves and positions. If it says there are no portfolios yet, your tenant has none in Finance. Finance has no screen for adding one yet, so open Support in AccountHub and ask the Platform team to set up your portfolios.

3. Browse the instrument catalog

Open Instruments to see every instrument Finance knows about. Each row tells you how many of your positions hold it. Open an instrument to see its details.

4. Start researching

Open Research and press New topic. Give it a title and choose what kind of subject it is: a company, a sector, a theme, politics or macro. On the topic's page you can:

  1. Add note to keep a dated note.
  2. Write thesis to set out a view, then refine its reasoning on the thesis's own page.
  3. Import a CSV of figures, which arrive as notes on the topic.

Adding and changing research needs write access. If those actions are closed for you, ask one of your tenant's Owners.
